How does it work?

You simple raise a ticket once you have signed up to a hosting plan

Raise a support ticket, requesting a website migration from the support centre on your hosting account. 

Our team will respond, asking for details to your current hosting provider and your domain registrar.

Our team will then pick a good time, usually late at night to move your website and emails (if you want us to move emails too) to our hosting. 

We will then send you login details for the email accounts. 

How does migration work?

We migrate websites with very little to no downtime.

Our team will move your website files, and test the website works from our network before we point your domain at our servers. 

In the rare case something goes wrong, our team can fix this before your domain name is pointed to our network.

Migration FAQ's

1How long does it take?
The time it takes to move a website depends on how big your website is, but usually takes less than an hour to complete. Once we have pointed the domain to our network, it may take around 24 hours to fully point to our network, this is because the Global DNS service can take a while to fully update across the world.
2Do I have to move my emails?
No, if you use a dedicated email service, such as Microsoft 365 you can continue doing so.
3Do you change nameservers?
Yes and No, we prefer to connect your domain to our Name servers. We can provide your details of our nameservers to update at your domain registrar or we can update them for you. If you are using our Managed Wordpress Hosting, name servers must be changed to ensure your website loads with our CDN.
4Can you move my domain?
Yes, if you want to move your domain registrar from your current provider to us, we can help manage that.
